The reducer is to match the speed and transmit torque between the prime mover and the working machine or the actuator. The reducer is a relatively precise machine. The purpose of using it is to reduce the speed and increase the torque.
However, the working environment of the reducer is quite harsh. Failures such as wear and leakage often occur, so how to avoid these failures?
1. At work
During work, when the oil temperature rises above 80°C or the oil pool temperature exceeds 100°C and abnormal noise is found, stop using it, check the cause, troubleshoot the fault, and replace the lubricating oil before continuing to run.
Second, change the oil
When changing the oil, wait for the reducer to cool down and there is no danger of burning, but it should still be kept warm, because after complete cooling, the viscosity of the oil increases and it is difficult to drain the oil. Note: Cut off the power supply of the drive unit to prevent accidental power-on.
Three, operation
After 200 to 300 hours of operation, the oil should be changed. In the future use, the quality of the oil should be checked regularly, and the oil mixed with impurities or deteriorated should be replaced in time. Under normal circumstances, for a long-term continuous working reducer, the new oil should be replaced by 5000 hours of operation or once a year, and the long-term deactivated reducer should also be replaced with new oil before restarting. The reducer should be added with the same oil as the original brand, and must not be mixed with oils of different brands. Oils with the same brand but different viscosity are allowed to be mixed.
Fourth, oil spill
1. Pressure equalization
The oil leakage of the reducer is mainly caused by the increase of pressure in the box, so the reducer should be equipped with a corresponding ventilation cover to achieve pressure equalization. The ventilation hood should not be too small. The simpler way to check is to open the upper cover of the ventilation hood. After the reducer has been running at high speed for five minutes, touch the vent with your hand. Or raise the hood.
2. Smooth flow
It is necessary to make the oil spilled on the inner wall of the box flow back to the oil pool as soon as possible, and do not store it in the shaft head seal to prevent the oil from leaching out along the shaft head gradually. For example, an oil seal ring is designed on the shaft head of the reducer, or a semicircular groove is glued to the upper cover of the reducer at the shaft head, so that the oil splashed on the upper cover flows to the lower box along both ends of the semicircular groove.
(1) Improvement of shaft seal of reducer whose output shaft is half shaft
The output shaft of the reducer of most equipment such as belt conveyors, screw unloaders, and impeller coal feeders is a half shaft, which is convenient for modification. Disassemble the reducer, remove the coupling, take out the shaft seal end cover of the reducer, machine the groove on the outside of the original end cover according to the size of the supporting frame oil seal, install the frame oil seal, and the side with spring is inward. When reinstalling, if the end cover is more than 35 mm away from the inner end face of the coupling, a spare oil seal can be installed on the shaft outside the end cover. Once the oil seal fails, the damaged oil seal can be removed and the spare oil seal can be pushed into the end cover. Eliminate time-consuming and laborious processes such as removing the reducer and disassembling the coupling.
(2) Improvement of shaft seal of reducer whose output shaft is the whole shaft
There is no coupling on the output shaft of the reducer of the entire shaft transmission. In order to reduce the workload and simplify the installation procedure, a split end cover was designed and an open oil seal was tried. The outer side of the split end cover is machined with grooves. When installing the oil seal, first remove the spring, saw the oil seal into an opening, and cover the oil seal on the shaft from the opening, butt the opening with adhesive, and then install the opening upward. Put on the spring and push in the end cap.
Five, use method
The user should have reasonable use and maintenance rules and regulations, and carefully record the operation of the reducer and the problems found during the inspection. The above regulations should be strictly implemented.
