1. Features of reducer belt drive
The transmission has the characteristics of simple structure, stable transmission, shock absorption, large shaft distance and power transmission between multiple shafts, low cost, no smoothness, and simple protection. It is widely used in modern mechanical transmission. Conflict-type belt transmission can be overloaded and skid, with low working noise, but the transmission ratio is not accurate (slip rate is below 2%); synchronous belt transmission can ensure transmission synchronization, but the ability to absorb load changes is slightly poor, and high-speed operation is noisy. In addition to transmission of power, belt drive is sometimes used to transport materials and arrange parts in rows.
2. Features of reducer worm drive
(1) It is self-locking. The helix angle of the worm is very small, the worm can only be driven by the moving worm gear, and the worm wheel cannot roll by the moving worm.
(2) Worm drive power is low. It is generally assumed that worm drive power is lower than gear drive. Especially the self-locking worm drive, its power is below 0.5, usually the power is only 0.7-0.9.
(3) The heat is large, the tooth surface is simply worn, and the cost is high.
(4) Large transmission ratio and compact structure. The number of worm heads is indicated by Z1, and the number of worm gear teeth is indicated by Z2. It can be seen from the transmission ratio formula I=Z2/Z1 that when Z1=1, that is, the worm is single-headed, the worm must turn Z2 to the worm wheel to make one revolution, so a large transmission ratio can be obtained. Usually, in power transmission, take Transmission ratio I=10-80; In the indexing organization, I can reach 1000. For such a large transmission, such as gear transmission, multi-stage transmission is required. Therefore, the worm transmission has a compact structure, small size and light weight.
(5) Smooth transmission and no noise. Because the worm tooth is a continuous helical tooth, it is continuous when it meshes with the worm gear. The worm tooth does not enter and exit the meshing process, so the work is stable, impact, sensation, and noise are small.
